Our Foundation
Our mission is simple: spread the Truth, spread Jesus, and spread Love—to all.
What We Believe
At the foundation of this ministry is a simple conviction: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He died for our sins, He rose again from the dead, and He will return.
We believe in the God revealed throughout Scripture and in Jesus Christ as His Son and our Savior. We believe that Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead on the third day. The resurrection is not a side issue of our faith—it is at the very center of the Gospel. The apostle Paul described Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and appearances to His followers as the message he had received and passed on to the early church. (1 Corinthians 15:3–8) (Bible Gateway)
We believe salvation is found through Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that God loved the world and that whoever believes in Christ may have eternal life. It also teaches that there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile when it comes to the invitation of salvation: the same Lord is Lord of all, and “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord” may be saved. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9–13) (Bible Gateway)
We Believe in Truth Without Fear
We believe Christians should be willing to ask difficult questions.
Faith does not require us to pretend that every historical question, translation, manuscript issue, or ancient mystery has an easy answer. We value Scripture, historical context, linguistic evidence, careful research, and honest examination.
For example, the Hebrew name יהוה—commonly represented in English as YHWH—is traditionally rendered as LORD in many English Bibles. The ancient Hebrew writing preserves the consonants, but the original pronunciation cannot be established with absolute certainty today. “Yahweh” is a widely used scholarly reconstruction, while other pronunciations have also been proposed.
Therefore, we do not teach that the English word “Lord” automatically refers to a false idol. “Lord” is a title that can refer to a master, ruler, or deity depending upon the context. In the Old Testament, English Bible translations commonly use LORD in small capitals as a convention for representing יהוה. Understanding the difference between a title, a personal name, and the identity of a particular deity matters when studying ancient religious texts.
We believe people should be encouraged to investigate these questions rather than being afraid to ask them.
Every People and Every Race Has Dignity Before God
We reject racism, racial supremacy, ethnic hatred, and the idea that one race is spiritually or inherently superior to another.
Scripture presents humanity as coming from God and teaches that God is concerned with all nations. Acts 17:26 describes God as the one who made the nations of humanity, while Galatians 3:28 teaches that distinctions such as Jew and Greek do not create different levels of worth before God in Christ. (Bible Gateway)
The Gospel is not a message of racial superiority. It is a message of reconciliation.
We therefore believe that people of every race, ethnicity, nationality, background, and social position are worthy of dignity and love. No person has permission to use Christianity as a justification for hatred, dehumanization, or racial supremacy.
We Believe Jesus Will Return
We also believe that Jesus Christ will return.
After Jesus’ ascension, the message given to His disciples was that the same Jesus who was taken into heaven would come again. (Acts 1:11) (Bible Gateway)
We do not claim to know the exact timing of His return. Our responsibility is not to manufacture dates or create fear, but to remain faithful, watchful, and prepared.
Our Mission
Govasana exists to encourage people to seek God, examine what they believe, ask difficult questions, and pursue truth without fear.
We believe faith and honest investigation do not have to be enemies.
We welcome people who already believe, people who are questioning, people who are rebuilding their faith, and people who simply want to understand Christianity and the world of Scripture more deeply.
We will not promote racial hatred, superiority, dehumanization, or the idea that certain peoples are inherently more valuable to God than others.
Our foundation is Jesus Christ.
Our commitment is truth.
Our posture is curiosity, humility, discernment, and love.
And our hope is that through seeking truth, people may come to know God more deeply—not through fear, manipulation, or hatred, but through faith, understanding, and a genuine pursuit of what is true.
